We had the opportunity to babysit Aaron and Rebecca's newest addition, Dilly. Dilly loved Payton and any chance she got, she would smell, lick, or try to play with her. Payton didn't seem to mind. The boys couldn't get enough of her and couldn't wait to get home from school to play with her. She is such a cute little puppy. As cute as she is, I think we will wait till the kids are older to get our own little puppy.

Payton has started eating solids and as you can see in the pictures, she loves it! She is finally starting to put on a little weight and her cheeks are even getting chubby (I just want to squeeze them). She is such a good little baby. She has discovered her voice and can get pretty loud at times especially when she's not getting enough attention.

Our boys love to have sleepovers on the weekends with each other and they usually end up sleeping in Ethan's room in the bunkbeds. We always find them on the top bed together and I had to take a picture of how funny it is.

Of coarse there is Ethan being a goof ball like usual. Always trying to get a laugh from anyone who will pay attention to him.

Payton's Results

As some of you know, Payton has a mass on her back. We did an Ultrasound which didn't show us anything and then last week she had an MRI. We were really worried about the MRI because they had to sedate her so she wouldn't move and that made us so nervous. She actually did really well. We got the results back and it's not a hemangioma like they thought, but a lypangioma. Those of you who don't speak medical terms, a hemangioma is pooling of capillaries(those red birthmarks you sometimes see on people) and a lypangioma is similar, but is fluid instead. We just need to watch it to make sure it isn't hurting her or getting any bigger. If it does than it will have to be removed surgicaly, otherwise it will most likely go away on its own. Thanks to all of your prayers and concern. We love and appreciate all of you.

Our Christmas Vacation

Since this was our first Christmas away from our friends and family, it was nice to have Uncle Aaron and Aunt Rebecca come and spend it with us. I always love to see the reaction from the kids when they open up their presents. Sometimes it's not the reaction you expect for instance, we always get the kids a Christmas outfit and one year Carson opened his up and with the most disappointed look said, "I didn't ask for this!" They have learned this is a standard gift and don't say much anymore, just toss it aside and ask for the next gift. There are those gifts that they want really bad and when they open up their present to find that gift, the reaction is priceless.

Payton was just happy to have wrapping paper to play with.

After we opened our gifts, we headed off for our long awaited trip back to Utah. We were sooooo excited to see our loved ones again. Here are some highlights from our trip back to Utah.

We had the Evans family Christmas party.

I got to spend some time with my sister who misses me terribly(or maybe it's Payton she really misses). She looks so awesome!

Milan and his Dad went to a Jazz game while we were in town so, I decided to have a girls night out with a few of my friends. It was alot of fun. I am so blessed with great friends.

While we were in town, Carson and Ethan really wanted to spend some time with their friends Colton and Kassie. We decided to have a fun day at Chuck-E-Cheese. The kids loved it! They got to play with their friends and for a few hours, forget that they ever moved away from them. They really do miss their friends.

New Years Eve! Wow a new year. I can't believe how time flies. Last New years eve was the first night or day that I was sick from my pregancy with Payton. It was so nice to be able to enjoy it this year and to have Payton here to celebrate it with us. I can't imagine life without her now. It feels like she has always been a part of our family.

Lastly, we can't forget the Mills side of the family. We all had good times.

All in all, our trip was good. I was afraid of how we would all feel once we were there and then again when we went back home. I don't think I realized how hard this would be for our boys. I'm not sure if we did more damage going back to Utah so soon or if this will get them through another few months until we can go back for another visit. I won't lie, this move has not been easy for any of us. We have met so many wonderful people in Texas and have had so many wonderful experiences there. I know it's just a matter of time before we will all start to feel at home here.
