Payton's Check-up

I took Payton in for her 6 month check-up today. She weighs 12lbs. 14 oz. and she's 26 inches long. She's on the opposite end of the growth chart from her brothers. They were always in the 90th to 100th percentile for their weights. She weighs in at a whopping 5%. She's our little lightweight. It's kind of nice having her so small still. I almost feel like I get to enjoy the baby stage a little longer. To look at her face, she has nice round cheeks, but then she has this long skinny little body. At 6 months, she is still wearing 0-3 months clothes and occasionally I can put her in 3-6 month clothes. It's good and bad. The clothes that I do have for her are starting to become the wrong seasons, on the other hand, I'm getting more use out of the clothes that she's wearing now.

Valentines

I decided to be a good mom and help my kids make sugar cookies for Valentines Day. It was alot of fun. I had the ingredients pre measured and then divided them so they each had the same amount to put in, we're all about equality at our house - it's really obnoxious, then I let the kids cut out heart shaped cookies and a few unusually shaped cookies. We waited til the next day to actully frost them. The decorating was the best part. We had a lot of fun and ended up with some crazy looking cookies. I might actually attempt to do this again.

For Valentines Day, Milan and I went with some friends and played rock band. It was so much fun. Milan even got up and tried it. I'm happy to say that he was as bad as I was. Here are some of the highlights...

Payton is 6 Months

Payton is our little sweet Pea. She is 6 months old, how time flies. She is so much fun. Her new thing is to put her toes in her mouth. Every time I change her diaper or her clothes, the feet come up and the toes go in the mouth. When I try to pull them out she just laughs. She is such a blessing to us. It's hard to imagine that there was a time when she wasn't part of our family. She brings so much joy to all of us and is always happy and smiling. I know one day that will change and she'll have lots of attitude, but for now we will just enjoy the little things.

Payton
Payton is changing so much. She is filling out in her face, but everywhere else is still small. She still loves food and can't seem to get it fast enough. With as much as she eats, I'm surprised she doesn't weigh more. She is about 13 pounds now. She is still a very happy baby and is sleeping great still. I think it helps that the boys are in school all day so it's quiet when she naps. She finally rolled over by herself last week and is getting close to sitting up. I feel like I want her to reach those milestones and at the same time I don't. I'm trying to enjoy every minute of her since she is our last baby and I don't want it to go by too fast. I love that I get to have one on one time with her while the boys are in school. I can't believe how lucky I am to have such wonderful kids. Sometimes I don't feel that I deserve them.

Carson
Carson loves to have a good time and teases just like his dad, okay maybe like me. I probably tease more than I should, but when they are easy targets, I can't help it. He has definately learned to dish it back. I love that his is such a sensitive person.

Carson has been a lifesaver. He is so good with Payton and helps me out so much with her. She loves him so much sometimes I even think she prefers him over me. When she sees him, she just lights up and gets so excited. I look at Carson's baby pictures and she looks just like him, only a girl version.

Ethan
Last Saturday at Ethan's basketball game, he scored his first basket. He got the rebound and ran with the ball to the other end and scored a basket. Good thing this is only little league or that would have been considered traveling. Everyone had a good laugh. One of these days we might actually learn how to dribble the ball.

This is how things get clean around our house. As long as the jobs get done, he can clean in what ever he wants to wear. (This is our storm trooper halloween costume-he even has the mask sitting on top of his head)

Yesterday was the 100th day of school so he came home and made this shirt, which I though was great. He can wear it at home an no one has to see it. Well today, he had to wear it to school. This is him this morning before school with his new shirt. I hope the teacher doesn't think his parents are crazy.
