Happy Birthday Boys!!!

Today is Carson and Ethan's birthdays. They are growing up way too fast. It's actually really nice to celebrate their birthdays on the same day. It makes life so much easier for us. I wonder how it will be when Payton has her own day and they have to share. Carson is all about everything being fair.

We started a tradition last year of decorating their doors for their birthdays. My mom did it for me when I was growing up and I loved it, so I thought I would carry the tradition on to my children. We even did breakfast in bed for them this morning. Carson thought he was so cool. I love to watch the expressions on their faces when they open their presents to find the present they really wanted. This year I got a little ambitious and made them their own mini cakes. That way they didn't have to share a cake. The only downfall to sharing a birthday is trying to make it special for each of them.

My Crazy Kid

Ethan is my funny & crazy kid. He loves to dress up and put strange outfits together. Either he can't coordinate his clothes or he does on purpose to get a rise out of us, I'm not sure which it is. Either way it's pretty funny. Her are some of his latest creations. This time he dressed Payton up too. Thanks for keeping us in stitches Ethan. I love you.

Milan's Birthday

Happy Birthday Milan!

Today is Milan's birthday and I can't believe he is another year older, I better not reveal his age in case he cares. Time has sure gone by fast. I swear we were just in our 20's. Where have the years gone? I remember when I used to think that people in their 30's were so old. Now that I'm in my 30's, I can say that I am not old, or at least I don't feel old. In my mind I am only 20 something, although sometimes my body reminds me that I'm not as young as I used to be.

I am really grateful for Milan. He is a wonderful husband and father and our kids adore hime, especially Payton who already has him wrapped around her little finger. Thanks Milan for all you do for us. Happy Birthday.

Give Thanks

We have many reasons to give thanks this year, but this week we are thankful that Grandpa and Grandma Evans came to visit us. Grandma has been busy, she made Payton a beautiful sweater and matching hat and taught the boys how to sew and make pillows. She has also been busy crocheting socks for Payton and making things for my friend Carrie's baby as well. We love Grandma.

Aaron and Becca also came and stayed a few days with us. Becca finally got to see and hold Payton, while Uncle Aaron wrestled with the boys. We are so thankful to have family close by, they live only an hour away from us. We hope to see them often.

We wanted to make that no one was bored while at our house, so Milan gave his Dad a honeydo list to keep him busy. They may never come back to visit, but at least we got our fans up.

Milan put up lights with the help of his Dad and sons, probably a little more help than he wanted, but hey they look good.

We have been wanting to go to Lake Lavon which is about 15 minutes from our house and to see the Dallas temple. So we decided to have a sight seeing day. We also drove past South Fork for all of you fans of the show Dallas. One of these days I'll have to go on a tour there.

We are very thankful for all of our wonderful family and friends. In some way you have each touched our lives and made us who we are. We are truly blessed. We love you all!

He fits!!

Some of you were wondering if Milan really could fit into his new mini, well here is the proof that he does really fit (just don't sit right behind his seat).

So you had a bad day

Poor Ethan has a black eye. He was so embarrased to go to school that he walked into the school holding his hand over his eye so no one could see it. He actually wanted to wear his pirate patch over it so no one could see it, like that wont draw attention either. Carson had a friend over the other day and they were playing baseball and you can probably guess where this is going, yup right to Ethan's head.

This is the day it happened, and this is 2 days later

Payton LOVES the bathtub!! She could stay there all day if I let her. As you can see in the picture, she is very content and relaxed. In the next picture, you can see what happens when I take her out of the bath. At first I thought, oh she's just cold, but then I tried putting her back into the water and immediately she stopped crying and was smiling again. She's just like her brothers, a fish!

Halloween

Halloween in Texas is a little different than it is in Utah. The schools don't celebrate it and the kids don't get to dress up or have a parade at school. It's kind of sad. Alot of our neighbors don't celebrate halloween either, I'm not sure if it's a culture thing or a religeous thing. There weren't many houses handing out candy, about 1 in 5 houses, so the ones who did have candy gave out handfuls because there weren't many trick or treaters coming by. I guess the benefit to that is we went to less houses and got more candy. The other great thing about trick or treating in Texas is the weather was so nice. The high for the day was in the 80's. I know you are all jealous back home. It seems like it should be colder here for this time of year, but it has stayed in the 70's to 80's and we are still wearing shorts. I love it.

This year Carson dressed up as the grim reaper and Ethan dressed up as a storm trooper. Sadly we did not dress Payton up this year, I know we are lame.

The boys loved carving pumpkins and look forward to it every year. I can't say the same for Milan and me. I think we dread cleaning up the mess afterwards.

Inside the house

Alot of you have been asking to see pictures of the inside of our house. I have hesitated to post them because I haven't had a chance to put my personal touches on the house yet and I have boxes still to unpack, but I decided to show you anyways and later I will put on the after pictures. So keep this in mind while viewing.




Sorry the pictures are a little chaotic, but it took too long to add them all to my blog. I'm too tired to organize them, besides I'm planning to add pictures later of the finished house.
